Bio/CV:
Kathryn was born in England and grew up in Waterloo, Ontario. Following an interest in nations, geographical networks and identity, she completed a B.A. and M.A. in History at the University of Toronto. She maintains active connections with academia through hosting a salon series featuring speakers from universities across North America.
Kathryn has been living in the Bay Area since 2013. In that time she has worked with with a variety of organizations, from non-profits with one employee to large international corporations. These include the urban planning organization SPUR, Leadership San Jose, and the Digital Moose Lounge, a Canadian community bridging group. Her passion is creating opportunities for people to form meaningful connections with each other, and with big, complicated ideas. Kathryn has recently returned to the academic world for further study and is currently completing a Master of City Planning at UC Berkeley.
